The restaurant was started of from a small shop where boys from the locality would come to play carom or drop in for a soft drink. As it gained popularity Mrs. Carfina started to serve traditional Goan dishes like sorpotel, Goan sausage bread and pork chilly fry. This corner store was then extented into a small eat out with four tables. The first major expansion came about the vacant space between the store and the residence was brought under roof to cater to a crowd that made expansion much required.

The restaurant in itself, an extension of a delicately preserved old house, is fashioned in the form of a large "Balcao", over looking a well manicured garden, and has besides a roofed 40 "comfortable" cover sitting, also an open air arrangement, bounded by an exquisite stage for special shows and parties of upto 200 guests catered to, by the restaurant.
