Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary :
Named after the famous Ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali, this Sanctuary houses, the most number of birds. With an area of 1.75 sq Kms it’s a host to many trees, plants & species. 5 Kms from Panaji, you can reach this place by crossing Ribandar Ferry. You can take a boat or a canoe ride to make your visit interesting.
Bondla :
Most frequently visited sanctuaries in GOA. 40 Kms from Margao, this place Share area of 8 sq Kms, which includes Zoo, garden, cottages etc. The forest is deciduous in Nature, making it a lasting pleasure to the visitors, especially nature lovers. Famous for its deer safari and elephant rides, this place is also a botanical garden that contains a varied species of plants. They also have exhibits.
Bhagvan Mahaveer Wildlife :
60 Kms from Panaji towards Mollem, a forest with an area of 240 Sq Kms. It’s a big Green Blanket, the biggest wildlife sanctuary in GOA. Covered by a semi evergreen moist deciduous forest, this place also has grasslands. Famous for Devils canyon.
