Beauty and tourism goes together, it may be assumed as and “ Attraction Wizard “ that pulls forth the audience, beholding their eyes for a magnificent sight. The scenic beauty, the fairness of its clouds and the touch of its breeze, describes all what tourism right is. The hard hitting waves, combined with the softness of the sand together bring a unique package of an unforgettable moment spent with a loved one. Its quiet obvious that people choose places that smells good enough for a perfect holiday. Yet, then among so many tourist spots there is one such place which cannot be denied, a royal throne. Can you guess it ? Well, voted as one of the most frequently visited tourist destination both nationally and internationally GOA, is noted down as an ecstasy to paradise.
As you walk the streets of GOA, once can scroll down the history texts, it tell you not just about today but the past too. Years have gone by and GOA has been a dream and home to a number of kings, dynasties and rulers. Looking back at its vibrant past GOA had a famous emperors like Adil Shah of Bijapur the beginners being the Dravidians, the Kunbis – the origins, the Mauryans, the Kadambas and many more. In 1510 we had the Portuguese enter, GOA forming a colony of its own. The transformation of GOA during the reign was tremendous. Being a good centre for trade and commerce GOA has not only attracted people then, but even today it’s the same. In fact when one looks at the age old architecture, its finest prints of quality earns much more praise compared to today’s design. The past had marvels of fronts places on their palms designing the future of GOA i.e. TOURISM.
Well her children are proud of just not her beauty, but heart, hospitality and most of all a lovable smile of acceptance. A land like her welcomes all her guest as her own daughters and sons.
A small dot to the South West India, GOA is surrounded by the Arabian Sea in the West, the state of Karnataka in the S.E and Maharastra in the North.
The Capital city is Panaji once called Panjim located in the Tiswadi Taluka. GOA is small and covers an area of 3,701 sq Km raised at an altitude of 1,022 mts. GOA has a moderate climate and rives like Mandovi & Zuari that bless the GOAN soil. As we move out, and travel down the coastline once can feel the atmosphere becoming cooler, the coconut trees tower over both sides of the road and every thing is a brilliant shade of green. The mountain ranges of the lofty hills. The dense forest of the Canacona region and lush green of the land mixed with gold sand of the coastline, so one can go wrestling along with the sand of out breath taking beaches with its ranges adorning the North and South of GOA. These two districts have a collection of 11 Talukas i.e.
5 in South and 6 to the North. Panaji has owned itself an overall claim from its dwellers and visitors too. The Portuguese architecture can be seen here, with age old houses standing still strong.
