Cavala, one of the first restaurants on the Calangute - Baga coast was a meeting place for travelers from the world over. Here they shared their good times, their stories, adventures and a laugh over a beer and a spicy `Country Captain', on a long table under the almond tree and when some resident enthusiast prepared a paella for one and all.
Many a romance also sparked off and bloomed !
Today, even thirty years and more after those heady, hippy years, many still return year after year with their friends, relatives and children to meet old friends and make new ones.
People come to a restaurant for a drink, good food and service and also a friendly chat, a pretty face, a smile. This is what we at Cavala are all about... and that's why the Cavala restaurant doesn't have any doors.
